Jaguar Land Rover Service Advisor Nick Sparrow’s extended family was going through a tragedy, after two of his cousins, both in their early 30s, passed away unexpectedly within 10 days of each other.
Each man had one child and a wife or fiancee. A benefit was held to support the families and raised $66,000, said Sparrow. Hundreds of people attended.
Sparrow was encouraged. “It put some faith back that there’s still good people out there that want to help,” he said. “Especially people who didn’t know him.” Some had only heard the Kaupang’s story and gave online. He said it was cool that his “Luther family” at work saw the need and helped out.
