Automotive instructors at more than one tech school gratefully received vehicle donations to help teach the trade.

A Chevrolet Cobalt from Luther Auto allows students at St. Paul College to use the latest CAN bus data diagnostic systems, something that isn’t possible on older vehicles.

Down south, at Dakota County Technical College, students received a Nissan Altima for the school fleet, car-donation2-luther-auto-webcourtesy of Luther Nissan Kia in Inver Grove Heights. Luther Auto has had increasing interaction with the program, and has particular interest in recruiting automotive service graduates.

“We’re supporting them in other ways, too, with our time,” said Luther Service Specialist Matt Carlson. He visited with students at DCTC and shared his views about employment prospects after they graduate.
