Sparkling new facilities have opened to the north and south as two Luther dealerships unveiled their buildings.
The Brookdale VW store is the fourth piece and fourth store in an energizing automotive footprint on Brooklyn Boulevard within view of high-traffic Interstate-694.
“People like the open feel, and they’re amazed at all the glass,” said Brookdale VW General Manager Jim Baldwin.
Volkswagen brings its “White Frame” design to Brooklyn Center. The German marque’s latest store mirrors Burnsville Volkswagen in many ways, with a few differences and a slightly smaller size. All of this arrives conveniently ahead of new and updated products slated for 2017, Baldwin explains. Vehicle inventory will be substantial, with 400 parking spots.
The shop features integrated toolboxes, which have become a Luther staple and a benefit for technicians. In-ground Shockwave hoists, numbering 18 in all, are fast, says Service Manager Brett Baird, but not as fast as the high efficiency doors, which rise in two seconds. Guests are taking note.
A big hope for the brand is to attract cross shoppers in the area who may not have considered VW in the past. Past guests who have come to the new facility are finding a “wow” factor, he said.
