The “So the World May Hear Awards Gala” event held in St. Paul by the Starkey Hearing Foundation brought together 1,600 people, with star musicians, former presidents and other humanitarians.
Jaguar Land Rover Minneapolis was also there as a sponsor.
“It was amazing. They always bring out the true athletes and the stars and the true actors, politicians, the ‘Who’s Who of America,” said Quinton Ballard, client relationship manager with Jaguar Land Rover Minneapolis.
The store coordinated one of the auction vehicles, a Land Rover Discovery Sport on a 24-month lease. The top bidder was the same store client who pledged top dollar the year prior.
“So he got two Land Rovers in the garage by way of Starkey Foundation.”
Land Rovers were on display at a pre-gala golf event and the store sponsored a hole in one prize.
The Jaguar manager said the event raised $9 million. Ballard and GM Ted Terp were joined by their spouses at the Luther Auto table.
