‘Bug-In’ breathes Westside

Bug In at Luther Westside Volkswagen

The Midwest’s largest Volkswagen dealership, Westside VW, drew about 130 show cars and 2,000 participants tc-vw-club-bug-in-2to the annual “Bug In” event in June, despite the challenges presented by State Highway 100 construction.

Vintage air-cooled models were on hand, as was Bruce Meyers, creator of the Meyers Manx dune buggy in the 1960s.  The California-made vehicle was based on the original Beetle.

Operated by the Twin Cities Volkswagen Club, the show is an outgrowth of a longstanding relationship with Westside VW, which hosts the club’s meetings on the first Wednesday of each month.
