Slippery, slithering Subaru extraction

A woman called Bloomington Acura Subaru for help when her python snake went missing in the passenger side of her dashboard.  Service Manager Lisa Mullenberg put out a request to all techs and Kyle Skogen volunteered.  The service request gave some assurance, “The python has poked head out once or twice.  Snake is alive and not expected to be harmful.  Please check and advise.”

Skogen verified the snake’s location with a borescope.  He recovered the refrigerant from the AC system, removed the evaporator core and found the snake curled up inside the heater core box.  Skogen removed the evaporator core to access the snake, and then reassembled and recharged the system.  Not bad for an hour’s work.  The snake was alive and well and was returned to its owner.
