Jesus Sanchez isn’t one to pass up an opportunity, and after a tour of Hopkins Honda with Intermediate
School District 280, he connected with Luther’s director of sales, Andy Gadient.
“He had a passion for the car business, so, I set him up for an interview with General Manager Kyle Allison,” said Gadient.
“I want to further my knowledge in it, and get as good as I can.”

Sanchez was promptly hired for a detailing position, and is getting his feet wet working in auto body. Better still, he received a $500 scholarship from Luther Auto and a scholarship from Hennepin Technical College.
Independent shops were asking for experience and turned Sanchez down, but Luther staff members noticed something more. Gadient, who started as a lot employee, said he was excited to meet Sanchez. “He reminded me a lot of myself, wanting to get his foot in the door.”
The new employee is attending tech school and working. “I want to further my knowledge in it, and get as good as I can.” Sanchez said his dream is to one day own his own auto body shop.
