Every Mazda test drive over a six-week period resulted in one hour of volunteer community service by a staff member at Luther Brookdale Mazda Mitsubishi, and each sale or lease gave $100 to area charities.
The “Mazda Drive for Good” program focuses on worthy causes, said General Manager Gary Peterson. Recipients included: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, United Healthcare Children’s Foundation, the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. Staff are volunteering for Luther’s Drive to Serve food packing and the Salvation Army. As of mid-December, Mazda stores in the U.S. pledged 26,284 service hours and $337,700 in donations.
