A service advisor and master technician at Jaguar Land Rover Minneapolis have emerged from some stiff competition as victors in the manufacturer’s elite “Master Guild” competition.

The spoils were had in the United Kingdom, where healthy doses of motoring were served up and readily consumed by advisor Henre Rajtar and Mastergoodwood-revival-web Technician Craig Geisler.

The master tech chose a day at the Goodwood Revival Meeting vintage auto racing event, with a World War II aircraft fly-in featuring 40s-era clothing.

Next up was skeet shooting for Geisler and a castle tour for Rajtar. Off road driving, Land Rover style in The Midlands would then precede factory tours from the English marques.

To reach this reward, Geisler said he was told he placed in the top four, and will learn more later. It all comes down to points, he said. “I took my challenge, nailed all three tasks,” he said.

The hotels are “Five Star,” but it was the depth of understanding that piqued Rajtar’s interest. “You get to see the other end of the company,” he said. “… how the vehicle is built, inside and out, the manufacturer, the industry as a whole and how proud they are of the product.” Knowing Jaguar’s thought process and its history is important when representing a product, he explained.

“I don’t like to be recognized. The glory is from within when you take care of people, another satisfied customer,” Rajtar said.
