Family Ford in Fargo has spread its sphere of influence to the national level again, with the appointment of its warranty administrator to a new Ford
advisory panel in Dearborn, Michigan.
Jennifer Ritter, a 15-year veteran of the store, said she loves her job and the people she works with. “It can be fast paced, and you’ve got to be
organized. I excel at organization,” she said. Presiding over a clean desk, table and counter, Ritter said if she doesn’t stay on top of her tasks, they won’t get done.
Added to her already busy plate will be panel conference calls and a few trips to Dearborn, Michigan for meetings. Ritter also bills customer pay jobs and helps with payroll. She came to Ford with experience working for an auto parts store.
A key emphasis for her position is to improve communications between technicians and the store. Techs are asked to identify three core things: cause, concern and correction.
On the panel, Ritter is working to speed up payment for claims, and will soon tackle other issues. Her involvement follows a technician and service advisor from the store who have each served on a national Ford panel. Each of the warranty professional panelists represents one of Ford’s 27 regions.
