Toyota matches food drive for $5k

Rudy Luther’s Toyota and Scion has a history of successful food drives and cookoffs, but little did it know that the car company itself would match its efforts, to the tune of $2,500.RLToyDlrFrnt-web

The store set a fundraising goal to purchase 100 food baskets for the Emergency Foodshelf Network and exceeded that number by 40, with additional funds as well, explains Deborah Basurto, customer relations manager. Then, New Car Manager Joe Portillo worked with Toyota to secure $2,500 in matching funds. “Which is awesome, it made us feel really good,” she said.
