What does a dealership do when service volume goes through the roof? If it’s Luther Honda of St. Cloud, the answer is: find more space and create systems to accommodate the need.
In Service Manager Tim Sundberg’s time with the store, repair orders have grown by 400 percent. It found an offsite facility to rent late last year. The 8,000 square-foot rented space is used for rustproofing and reconditioning work and features a full detail shop and two offices.
It’s important to get used cars on the lot within two days, Sundberg said, noting that his store has the fastest turnaround in the Luther Auto Group.
Luther is the only dealership in St. Cloud with service until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. “We’re branching out, doing a lot more pickups and deliveries of vehicles.”
