The high performance image of Honda meets up with some high performing hopefuls at St. Cloud State University, where Luther Honda of St. Cloud is a sponsor of mechanical engineering students in an intense design-build situation.

SCSUs Formula team is creating a competitive open-wheeled race car by combining high performance characteristics with safety and manufacturability. It competes in the international Formula SAE program with engineering students from 120 universities.

Students are emphasizing a lightweight chassis and durable powertrain as their main goals. Ultimately, it will be judged in a number of static and dynamic events to evaluate its performance.
